Week 1 did not ease into the new cycle. It delivered two games above 110 points, five one-score finishes, seven teams above 50, and enough quarterback production to reset the early scouting board.
The 16 opening-week games produced 1,095 points—an average of 68.4 per game. Nine road teams won, seven home teams held serve, and the sharpest contrast came from Los Angeles: the Rams allowed only three points while the Chargers needed 59 to survive.

Mendoza wins a seven-touchdown duel
Fernando Mendoza completed 26 of 34 passes for 469 yards and seven touchdowns as MTVFamous and Las Vegas won the highest-scoring game of Week 1. Miami's Malik Willis answered with 289 passing yards, 136 rushing yards, and six total touchdowns, while De'Von Achane turned nine catches into 212 yards and two scores. The Dolphins produced enough offense to win almost any week; the Raiders simply produced more.

Justin Herbert threw for 631 yards and seven touchdowns for Berko 87, while Joe Milton delivered 582 passing yards, six passing scores, and another touchdown on the ground for PlzStpRappin. Lamar Jackson owns the first elite performance of the season
Va Dimes and Baltimore opened with the week's most complete quarterback performance. Jackson finished 31-of-46 for 522 yards and six touchdowns, feeding Zay Flowers, Devontez Walker, and Ja'Kobi Lane for 409 combined receiving yards. Indianapolis countered with four Anthony Richardson touchdown passes and 490 derived yards of offense, yet still lost by 21.
That result puts Baltimore beside Las Vegas and the Chargers as the first offenses every MUFL defense has to study.
