NBA 2K27 launches worldwide on September 4, but Deluxe and Ultra Edition owners can enter one week early on August 28.
This year’s lineup puts San Antonio star Victor Wembanyama on the Standard Edition, Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark on the Deluxe Edition, and Chicago Bulls legend Derrick Rose on the limited-availability Ultra Edition.
The differences go beyond cover art. The higher-priced editions add VC, MyCAREER and MyTEAM content, premium passes, and Early Access. A separate limited-time offer also rewards Deluxe and Ultra buyers who order before the August deadline.

Deluxe or Ultra Edition buyers who pre-order before 10:00 AM PT on August 17 receive a Racecar Helmet, 15,000 VC, and a G.O.A.T. Stephen Curry MyTEAM card in NBA 2K26. NBA 2K27 rewards include a Hyperdrive Suit and a 90 OVR Victor Wembanyama MyTEAM card, in addition to the 10,000 VC pre-order bonus. 100,000 VC and a one-week head start
The Deluxe Edition includes 100,000 VC, six types of Skill Boosts, three types of Gatorade Boosts, Wembanyama and Clark jerseys, and a two-hour MyCAREER 2XP coin. Its MyTEAM package includes a full Series 1 team selection, a Triple Threat Park Free Agent Pack, five Series 1 packs, and a two-hour MyTEAM 2XP coin.

More VC, premium passes, and long-term MyTEAM rewards
The Ultra Edition includes everything in Deluxe plus another 35,000 VC, the Season 1 Pro Pass, and a Summer 2027 bundle for Seasons 7 through 9. It also includes a Roses Oversize Hoodie for MyCAREER and premium MyTEAM rewards featuring a guaranteed 98 OVR card in December 2026 and an Invincible card in May 2027.

Deluxe is the strongest middle ground
For most serious NBA 2K players, Deluxe looks like the cleanest balance: the full game, 100,000 VC, mode bonuses, and the August 28 start without paying Ultra’s $149.99 price.
Standard remains the simple choice for players who only need the base game. Ultra makes the most sense for dedicated MyTEAM or MyCAREER players who expect to use the extra VC, premium passes, and scheduled card rewards. That is our editorial read; the best value ultimately depends on which modes you play.
